Questions merchants actually ask
Does it work without Shopify Plus?
Yes. ApprovePilot is built for Shopify's B2B-for-All era: Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus all work. The approval flow respects non-Plus limits (like the 3-catalog cap) instead of pretending they don't exist.
What exactly happens when I click Approve?
You see a dry-run preview first. On confirm, ApprovePilot creates the B2B company, contact and location in your Shopify admin, applies the payment terms you chose and the tax-exempt setting, and emails the buyer a welcome with their login link. Every write is idempotent — clicking twice can never create two companies.
Where are resale certificates stored?
In private app storage — never in a public bucket, never in Shopify Files. Viewing runs through short-lived signed links, files are deleted when a GDPR erasure request arrives or when you uninstall, and expiry dates drive automatic reminder emails on the Pro plan.
Does it touch my theme or my orders?
No theme code is ever injected — the application form is a hosted page under your own domain (yourstore.com/apps/apply). And ApprovePilot requests no order permissions at all: companies, customers and payment-terms templates only.
